Rockin’' Dopsie Jr. comes out smoking with the title song of this CD, “"I’'ve Got My Mojo Working”" and keeps the heat on for this entire collection of great songs. Covering forty or so years of American popular music history, Rockin’' Dopsie Jr pours it on, one memorable song after another. No other leading Zydeco artist would consider presenting this much of a variety of musical styles.

Rockin’' Dopsie Jr. & The Zydeco Twisters have been playing steadily for many years, touring the USA and Europe. When they crank up the music, the result is always the same, from New York City to Istanbul, the audience goes wild. This CD was designed to capture the feeling of a Dopsie concert, a taste of the many styles of music that one will hear at a Dopsie concert. World music is probably the best description of the Dopsie repertoire, bringing Louisiana to world may be a better description. New Orleans is home base for Rockin’' Dopsie Jr. & The Zydeco Twisters, but all of the musicians have a variety of cultural backgrounds, from the South Louisiana swamps, the smoky barrooms of New Orleans and the Southern Chitlin Circuit.

The group of musicians playing on the CD were chosen for their skill, but more importantly, for their high level of energy. Nothing is held back, the listener gets all that they have to give. And the result is nothing short of inspiring. Great musicians, whose skills have been refined by many years of experience in front of live audiences.
